Just played tennis...hot out there....first hot day, and I am in no way ready to play in that sort of heat, I feel like fried meat...I need a tub, and maybe a rub...having chocolate instead and then going to bed. So played my mixed doubles final this morning at 9am. The guy on the other team flaked out early and didn't play well, so we won the 1st set easily, and were up in the second when my partner hit me with his serve in my left ear...lots of ringing, and of course now deaf in that ear...we did manage to finish off the match and win (1st place, big ( Read more... )

Against all odds, we won our mixed doubles match tonight...it was supposed to be at 5:30 but because of the rain and playing indoors on half as many courts, didn't play til 9. Nothing like having a giant generation gap jarring one to reality. It is somewhat lighter out...like the sun it not quite makin it...drip drip drip...so sick of it. Cat in lap...laundry done, frame packed and shipped. Then our neighbor sold us all his old frame supplies...molding etc so we went and got it...dirty! The molding is sitting on my work table. Where the heck can we put it all? Forgot to take the garbage out to the road...wasn't a lot this week anyway, so should make it til next thursday. Sun has finally come out, but windy.
