Quadratic equations

I am studying quadratic equations so I can be legal to teach multiplication and the addition of fractions. It's the law. I have to pass the test to qualify for the job I'm already doing ( Read more... )

Well, life is a parabola...and hell, I cant even pronounce it the way it should be. Road to hell is the not the only road paved with good intentions....

I need a visual for parabolas. If you like I have math-geek friends in the UK who frequently are kind enough to stop and explain the concepts they're discussing to me. What got me through calculus/physics was thinking about rising bread dough (and sinking bread dough).

They may be in a position to help if you're stuck by providing the new way of looking at things.

The use of parabolas will help your auto mechanic explain to the customer why the headlight beam scatters in a particular way. I suspect he already knows that intuitively, though.
