i didn't really like this fic, given that it was set in the naruto-'verse and i couldn't quite make the dynamic between hokage!odin and kakashi work. ( "Your son seems intent on gaining your approval," Kakashi said, voice neutral, colourless. "You might want to speak to him about it."

Kakashi had never wanted the responsibility of training Heimdall, Odin remembered, and he couldn't blame him. Heimdall had always been a problem; son of the Hokage but unwilling to cooperate, let alone live up to that role. <--- and the sad thing is, it got worse, what with odin's unsubtle lines about kakashi's lone wolf tendencies as a kid. )

also, had to try to keep this separate from the naruto AUs that already had heimdall in them, which was hard. still, at least that let me keep the heimdall-odin link which the other AUs didn't have. and it was kind of fun to write heimdall's training sessions with kakashi, despite the silent angst overload.
