may 26 | blood and love without the rhetoric
the thing is, the pairings which i'm at all interested in tend to involve lots of rhetoric, or at least a lot of standing about trying to be cryptic, or just general wordiness. and very little actual love. uh. but anyway, the rhetoric is half the fun! and writing romantic love tends to bore me; give me "blood and rhetoric without the love" any day.* this would probably have had been a loki/heimdall or light/misa fic, except that i don't have much to say about either pairing. :\
*except for loki/spica or uto-loki/spica, because i am a total sap when it comes to those. -_-

this theme amuses me too much for me to do anything useful with it, and none of my fandoms has links with china or the chinese language, anyway.

tamaki isn't really a casanova, and kasanoda isn't in this fic. for
xsmoonshine: a very brief excerpt from an Ouran High School slasher-flick (slasher as in Halloween, Friday the 13th etc) fic.

"She... she was trying to stab me," Tamaki said to the curtains.
The shock seemed to have sapped his usual powers of over-reaction, thought Haruhi. Or perhaps hiding behind floor-length drapes with one's back pressed to the windows tended to limit histrionics. Either way, a subdued Tamaki was something to be grateful for, in the circumstances.
"I had tea with her just yesterday," Tamaki went on. "I said something subtly poetic about her hair. And she's trying to stab me!"
"She's trying to stab everyone," Haruhi pointed out. "So are some of the others in class 2-B. I'm sure it's nothing personal."
"With an ice-pick," Tamaki said, as if that was the ultimate affront. He sniffled.
"Yes. Tamaki-sempai, maybe we should try keeping quiet for a while, just in case she hears--"
A click. The door swung open with a suitably theatrical creak, and the sound of deranged laughter floated into the room. Haruhi wondered, in quick succession, how many students there were, whether the others were safe, and if jumping out of the window would be a good course of action.
