summer?

okay, i applied for this program at yale over the summer where i'd be teaching high school junoirs/senoirs and be their RA. pay is $3,400 for seven weeks. the classes i applied to teach have to do with creative writing, feminist poetry, and darfur. it's only mini courses, like an hour a day for six classes, but i'd also be their RA ( Read more... )

Sure, why not? If you really want to become a professor, get all the experience you can get. Being an RA will also help to build leadership skills and be nice on your resume. And if the program doesn't have required evaluations, I suggest making one for yourself, so that you can see where you need to improve.

awsomenesses... you always find good oppertunities that will look great on resumes... but also gigi needs to learn how to not jump on EVERYTHING and find some just gigi time...

if you do it, i am sure you will be a good teacher (and i wouldnt mind visiting you at yale), but if you don't we should hang some week this summer!
