Does the professor have to "okay" the project plan? If he does, he'll call them on it (hopefully), if not, you can always go to him and be like "these are our plans, here are their plans, do you think they'll raise enough awareness" or something. Instead of "telling on" them, it's like you want feedback for your own project's well-being.
we're supposed to be one group. we were supposed to be meeting under girl 1's direction. that was the plan the professor proposed to us. we're supposed to be combining into one group, and they don't want to. it's not that i want to tattle on them. it's not that i want him not to approve theirs, because he already did. he told us we can do whatever we want/need to raise awareness. i just think that they don't care about raising awareness, just going to the rally.
we're supposed to be one group. i don't want work with her if that's going to be her attitude. i can't stand that. this is something serious and she's not doing it to raise awareness, but so she can go to the rally without havng to pay for it completely out of her pocket.
So then bring to him the problem of the differences in the two sides of the group. I like your group's idea better anyway, because it will bring awareness to more people than just the ones interested in paying to be aware of it.
One thing you could do (if you like the idea) if you get one of the boys to the school charge like $1.50 to enter and give all the proceeds towards a charity or something in the area you're trying to help.
i guess my feelings are: your not always going to be able to choose your work parters. If your getting involved in this protesting things, you are goign to run into some very very opinionated people who are very set in thier ways. I understand how much it sucks, and how much you just want to strangle that person, and how much more work you have to do because of that person. i too hate those types of people, but sometimes you have to work with them. Sometimes you have to go into the total darkness before the light can be seen. its part of doing good.
my ideas about getting people involved: i do think a awarness week is needed the week before you guess go. Thats going to get the most people involved. It cannot be the only thing however. the idea needs to be there well before.
push forward and fight, and if you need anything let me know. i would like to help someway with this. I didnt even realize it was goign on till you told me, and it just blows me away.
