I vote yes to overloading. But I also vote that you look to see if there are courses in something else that you might enjoy. Being so English/writing intensive might become draining and boring, even if it is your major.

ah, yes. it could be... but, what i've discovered in my last two semesters is that i actually enjoy it being more writing/reading intensive than otherwise. it's the reason i'm having problems this semester. i'm doing great in my reading/writing intensive classes. no worries at all in my boat. but in the class that isn't... well... let's just say it's not going to be pretty at the end of the course.

and p.s. i did go through the course catelogue. the entire thing. i got bored one weekend so me, my roommate, and my friend julia went through the entire catelogue for this fall. it was fall, actually. especially since allof us are so incredibly different in what interests us courses wise. there's lots of things i would be interested in taking... but these just sounded excellent to me.

im going to say...

those classes sound awsome. Keep busy, its what im doing.

so

yes, take it. go for it, more power to ya..

and if things get to to deep, you can withdrawl.

those classes sound like to much fun to pass up.

thanks for the vote.

and yea... every two years here we get an honorary withdrawl. which means we can withdrawl from a course at any point in time (even right before the final, or just after if we choose) and there's absolutely no penalty. won't even go on our transcript as "withdrew, failing" if we were completely bombing the course. which i think is awesome. and which i intend to use if i get overwhelmed.

"post WWII american poetry"

meaning... contemporary (right up to NOW) american poetry including several poets that i either REALLY like, or people i have heard are extremely good. and... only offered every few years. which means it may or may not be offered again while i'm here.

besides. i just found out i may have to drop the cooking class anyways. so, it might not matter as of three days from now.

But then again... over loading might be fun, but i personally think you might want to stick with 4, because im sure there will be a lot of writing in the creatice writing class, and an awful lot of reading in writing colleagues
