Yes, I've often thought the airlines had the secret to time travel. So the real question is, do you get to PDX on sunday (doubtful) or Monday (more likely) The real question is, why don't they serve smoking meals, I mean wouldn't that indicate that the meals are hot if they're smoking, or at least good looking. Should be a rather large group (of course if you just include your family thats rather large in and of itself) waiting to greet you.

Though it seems counterintuitive, I'm very certain Shua arrives on Sunday, thanks to the fun of time zones. An example:

Let's say you took a six-hour flight from New York to PDX. If the plane took off at noon, you'd land at 6pm, right? Wrong...you'd be landing at 3pm, since you've changed a couple time zones. Since Shua will be traversing quite a few more time zones, he "gains" quite a few more hours. Hence on paper his flight is short. I know the flight from Helsinki [Finland] to San Francisco only took 40 minutes on paper, but actually was 10 hours 40 minutes in the air.

You gotta love geo-physics!

I think they don't serve smoking meals cause they would melt if they were hot, due to the fact they are actually made from plastic.

You have to eat hot smoking plasic to time travel? I'm not sure that's worth the effort. I mean, sure its time travel, but think of what thats doing to your intestines. After a few trips into the past you'd be full of plastic goo.

When I came home from Israel, I think that I actually arrived before I left. Not bad for 20 some hours of travel time eh? And by the way, the air marshalls (who actually are on every international flight) might get a little concerned over smoking meals. I think that perhaps just luke warm, served in a disposable rubber tray with a blunt cube shaped eating utensil is more what they have in mind. I think lufsthansa actually puts their meals on the planes exhaust manifold to warm them.

Wrong Direction for Time Travel zanjan August 4 2006, 23:22:13 UTC
I don't think I'd invest too much in Lufthansa's time travel, they seem to be going in the wrong direction. You have to spend 10 1/2 hours to go 1 1/2 hours. I like the time travel John did, arriving before leaving. But he still had to invest too much time to make that happen. How can I spend only 1 1/2 hours travelling and get there 10 1/2 hours before I left? That's the kind of time travel I want to do.
