He rubs his eyes and looks at Esther. "You're entirely too calm, did you know that?"

"Nice to see you, too," she says, unrolling the map and showing it to him. She points to a corridor leading off to the left (with the front of the mansion as reference) of the main room. "That's the corridor I took when I found the greenhouse. I figure it's as good a place as any to start."

He looks at the proposed route. "If you've found interesting things there before, and it changes frequently, that is a good place to start."
He is nervous about this. It is completely out of his realm of experience, and he is also nervous about going off with someone who, in his old life, he did not exactly have perfect trust in. However, she has not done anything here that he could distrust, and she does have more knowledge about this place than anyone he knows, save himself.

"That was my logic." She slings the bag over her shoulder and starts down the corridor. She studies Tom briefly. "Did you sleep all right?"
Esther is not nervous, and if she were no one would know. She has yet to see anything actively threatening in the Mansion (barring its denizens), and after two weeks she thinks there should not be any problems. Spending the night in a strange environment would cause more of a problem, but she's relatively certain Tom has no reason to harm her.
