The people that are trying to get pregnant I understand. The people that seem to not understand how getting pregnant works and somehow are surprised that they are pregnant (possibly even a second time!). BIRTHCONTROL WORKS IF YOU USE IT.

I don't get it. It makes me want to bash my head into something.

I know the only way to not get pregnant is to abstain. BUT! Surprise pregnancy doesn't so much surprise me. Mostly because of the people I hear it coming from.

While brigittefires might be right about the odds not being 0% a pill + condom combo is so damn effective that if you did in fact get pregnant then you would be right to be surprised because the odds are in fact quite low at that point.

The issue though in most cases is that people don't use it because they are dumb.

...Yeah, and people are going to make up stories to avoid the embarrassment of having to say, "Hey, we just forgot about birth control."

You know what else bothers me? Women who already have children that are grown up or in high school/whatever, and then their husband takes advantage of them when they're drunk and they get knocked up AGAIN. I know two women who got their fourth child that way, and that's what makes made them bat shit crazy- having to go through all of those child rearing phases again.
