unless the adverts have been lying to me it's to make the hairs stick up so as to get a closer shave. whether this means loads of goosebumps will be shaved off is not known.
lies.. its all lies.. ANY NORMAL HUMAN.. would get goose bumps the first few times goin around with something vibrating against their leg/face/ohmy.....
I remember when they came out with a Mach 3 razor that vibrated. I was like, "How in the hell am I expected to NOT nick myself shaving while using that?" As if I don't have enough problems already with keeping it steady while on a train or if I'm in a hurry.
People are lazy-ass motherfuckers and apparently gullible to boot. Do people honestly think that adding a motor to something like a razor or a toothbrush is going to make it anymore effective? Whatever happened to DIYFS (Do It Your Freakin Self)?
The vibrate function belongs only on vibrators. Maybe mobile phones too, but personally, if I'm in a situation where my phone needs to be quiet, I'll just turn it off because if I don't want to bother others around me, chances are that I don't want to be bothered myself.
But yeah, vibrate on anything else is a meaningless distraction and a lame way of jacking the price up.
