ahahaha that sounds about right. Every time I have a deadline due the amount of TV I watch skyrockets. It's like an exponential curve.
Also I find it so amusing that you watch Dance Academy when nobody I know even here does. I started watching it cause it was on after another show I watch and it infuriated me for the longest time, but at the same time it was kind of addictive.
Anyway, good luck figuring out what to do after your Masters. I have that problem too, but fortunately still a semester to avoid figuring it out. :)
See, last year was SO crazy that I never had time to watch any tv but then over the summer I started catching up on shows... and then I started my masters, and hey, I only had 4 hrs of class a week and pfff, who needs to do the actual readings? So yeah, TV is how I cope with deadlines now.
Dance Academy... yeah, quality tv *g* but yep, it's actually pretty addictive. Also: Dance show + teen show = me totally there. But I hate Tara, as she's like the Meredith Grey of the show but I like all the other characters... even Abigail, and Tara was dialed back a bit in the later episodes...
Heh, frig, I have no idea what I'm doing in approximately 4 weeks. With no job offer in sight, I'm actually thinking of going back to Bosnia and freelancing the elections there. We'll see!
What about you? Any ideas about plans for after the masters, or just wait and see? :)
Oh god I know! I wanted to punch Tara in the face for most of the early episodes. She was just so useless. Not to mention in that first (?) episode, where she and Kat jump off the roof into the harbour she was wearing the same style of bra as one that I have and I was like I ACTUALLY HAVE BREASTS, IT LOOKS BETTER ON ME, GTFO.
Also it irritated me because the first gay guy in it was a footballer, and I was like, DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE AUSTRALIAN BALLET WORLD? But then they at least fixed that up later.
I am very much in the wait and see camp, lol. I'll keep applying for jobs, but if nothing comes along, well... idk! I'm sure something will happen.
Hmm, I like that way of looking at it, "mental recess"... it's definitely applicable to me these days. :)
Thanks! And did I hear you might be heading back to London sometime soon? I might be there myself in a couple months, depending on how things work out. It's an awesome city, isn't it? If we're both there, we should see about meeting up. :)
And yes! I might be heading to London--providing my supervisor allows me to take time off--but it won't be until about November or so. It's a really amazing city, and I'm so excited at the idea of going back! That said, yes! If you're in the area, we should definitely look into meeting up. :)
