Well, Matt certainly brings up some interesting points. I don't know what flak you've been getting from who, but I can make a couple guesses.
The only advice I can offer is for Andrew the married man, not Andrew the director. Be very cautious of entering into a business deal with your spouse - especially when there are creative elements at stake. If/When conflicts occur, one of you will have to lay down the law to the other. It's VERY difficult to keep anger or resentment over a business decision from spilling over into the relationship. Do everything you can to keep those worlds separate!
I never heard any badness about this show either (I can be a bit dense), but I do know you make great descisions, and have given us a theater I'm grateful to be a part of. Lead on. You rock. Period.
As a fairly new member of the JCI family, I can't speak for much, but I can say that I'm really excited to see the Holiday Show. It sounds spiffy. And that's good, because so far I'm signed up to work every single matinee! :)!
Besides, you rock Andrew. I want to be you when I grow up.

It's the work end that is the issue. But this is taking care of it.
I'm glad.
