Day one, photo one. I chose to shoot my some of my cookbooks to document one of my resolutions for this year - to cook more meals at home. I have plenty of books to choose from, I just need to start using them!

I am a cookbook lover. I have more cookbooks than I could ever need, yet I still want more. For most birthdays and Christmas I get at least one cookbook as a gift. This year my husband got me Food to Live By: The Earthbound Farm Organic Cookbook. I haven't used it yet but so far I'm liking just reading all the little side facts about food that are scattered throughout the cookbook.

I don't have any of the cookbooks in your photo. Do you have a favorite? I hope you get to make many meals from them this year. :)

I think my very favorite is "Salmon" - I love salmon and tend to eat a lot of it (wild Alaskan) there are great, easy preparations in it ( ... )

Thanks!

We have similar tastes and eating styles. I try to only buy Alaskan salmon too but there's such a short period of time I can get it here. I've also been trying to only buy grassfed beef. The only grill we own is a Foreman so I don't tend to grill often. I also am not vegetarian but eat many veggie only meals. My favorite vegetarian cookbook I own is How to Cook Everything Vegetarian by Mark Bittman. I have some of his other cookbooks as well and really like all of them.

It is somewhat spendy, but also really handy - when I can't find the Alaskan salmon in the grocery store, I order it from VitalChoice.com. It gets shipped 2nd day air on dry ice frozen. They have mighty fine fish as well!

I will have to check that book out too...I have a couple others of his that I also like! I'll have to keep you posted as I come across other good books. :)
