Since someone in the anon meme wanted to know what I thought about the Nanjing museum I saw, here's what I really think.

Some of the stuff I might say can be graphic so don't complain because I warned you )

Sometimes, yes. That's why I want to truly believe that there is good in people, I really do. It's just...even now I don't know the reason why they would do something like this. The youtube thing I saw said that they just hated the Chinese simply because. It was in the past...everything has changed now. It's time to live and forgive but...

I feel disgusted when I say that I don't think I'll be willing to forgive for quite a while...

I'm sorry for dumping this emotional baggage on you.

Don't be. It's a natural reaction. It just shows that you're not one of those twisted people, and that's a good thing.

My family has a strong distaste [though the term should be much harsher] for the Japanese. When they invaded the village where my grandparent grew up, not only did they wreak havoc, but they also left the village in a state where it was hard to live on afterwards -- staple herbs and crops were either all dug up and stolen or razed and...it was a mess. Living life there was already hard enough before they came, but they just made it a million times worse ( ... )

I never really asked my grandparents (mostly my dad's mother) in fear that I might bring back some unwanted memories of what happened but I can already imagine what it must have been like.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I know that I shouldn't hate the Japanese today either, it's already in the past, people change but it's just kind of get rid of that feeling. I know Japan's culture is different from my morals and stuff, they're so proud that they refuse anything is wrong with their country. But still...
