New Journal, New Friends
New look for lj. Haven't looked at the templates since they updated them, and decided it was time for a change. We'll see how it goes.
Even though I don't have any romantic interests, today was one of the best Valentine's Day I have ever had.
I was at the GSA meeting planning our GLBT Heritage month, when one of the members walks in and says "This is the best club ever. You guys deserve a rose." Operation Smile was selling roses as a fundraiser, and he had bought one for the club. (so cute!) Then, word got out that I was single, and they went, "Well, Mary, you get a rose!" And so I did!
And then, Jonathan ran out of the room, to the Quad where they were giving away a bunch of free stuff (mainly free condoms and AIDS awareness pamphlets), and came back with a free heartshaped balloons, a free condom rose, and a huge grin. "I know you're single so the condoms are worthless," he said, "but you deserve a flower anyway, and this was the only free one they had." (Someone had taped colorful condom packets on wire so that it looked like a rose. It looks grotesque, but coming from Jonathan the cuteness drowned the strangeness.)
