I don't know if you are interested in the advice that I have, but in the chance that you are here it goes:

People can sense negativity and stress in others. If you are psyching yourself out before interviews that will come across as lack of confidence. It's about changing your frame of mind. It can be really hard to have a positive outlook, but it is necessary in order to achieve success. Start by just telling yourself the moment you wake up that it is going to be a great day full of wonderful things. Make a conscious effort to look at the positive side of things. Soon you will start to feel a change within yourself which will help you to get a job. After all people see you the way you project yourself.

I hope this advice helps and I wish you good luck and hope you achieve all of your goals.

See that's just the thing.....

I do all of that. The day of an interview is usually a good day for me. I take time to center and breathe and tell myself how I'm going to do this. I'm prepared, centered and confident. Even through the actual interview itself......

*sigh*

I don't think it's you, I think it's the economy. People'll interview because it doesn't take a lot of money (in the form of time spent interviewing) to do it, but they won't necessarily hire, because it takes a lot of money (time and actual money) to do that.

Keep your chin up Bird. You'll be okay. Promise.

This! I know so many talented, wonderful people like yourself who can't find a job. And then I go out and get crappy service and wonder why that jackass has a job and others don't..

I've written and viewed several cover letters and resumes. If you would like, you could email them to me and I can take a look.

Work is really scarce right now. I've had 35 year olds with 17 years of Customer Service experience come in and ask for an application for a minimum wage job at a pizza place.

You are not alone in this, and you are doing nothing wrong. Keep at it, and I very much hope you'll catch a break soon.
