As much as I would like to blame the pirates like every other drivelling imbecile, I have never seen a more unintelligently-written article, nor heard more poorly-collected evidence. It's almost impossible to discern the real evidence through all the conclusion-jumping ( Read more... )

politics, war?, amelia thinks you're an idiot, my two cents

Such writing should be saved for the likes of romance novels and coffee table books.

And what if war is the whole purpose?

Then let's hope whoever wants to start a war gets their plans thwarted.

I'm terribly sorry I'm not hopping on over to Doma to solve this crime, but I do have a ship to manage.

But are pirates ever truly innocent? Even if they didn't commit this crime, there are surely others they have committed. Wouldn't justice be served either way? Although, I would of course love to find out the true culprits here.

Not to mention, you can't trust the Badlands Bulletin. They offer the first reports, nothing more. Until reliable information comes out, it can all be taken with a grain of salt.

An entire town was just wiped out. We don't have time to go cruising after every pirate ship in Reial when someone is not only committing genocide helter skelter, but quite possibly may be trying to start a world war.

But we're not going after every pirate ship, are we? Now, we can't exactly claim everything in this article as true, but if we were somehow to find out which ships really were in Doma before this incident, then that narrows the field a bit. Providing we're even looking for a ship at all. That may not be the case.

I'm merely saying is that a few pirates taking the blame is no great loss.

If you will review my original post you will see that I have already pointed out that prosecuting the wrong party could trigger a war. And if that is indeed what the true criminal is attempting to accomplish then we would be playing right into the trap. They're trying to get Ivona and Vohemar at each others' throats. And it's working.

It would be nice to rid Reial of one more pirate menace but it just wouldn't be smart unless we can prove they are indeed guilty.
