Georgie messaged me to tell me that she and Clyde had had a beautiful baby boy.
Dan and Roxie announced their engagement at the evening service.
I went to Glenn and Stelle's wedding.
I went to Patrick Hoban's funeral.

I'm half writing my essay on the new hermeneutic, half listening to the new Missy Higgins album, more than half thinking distractedly of things that have nothing whatsoever to do with the hermeneutic spiral.

Jono: Exactly.  (Indicates to himself.)  He doesn't want this kind of distraction.

It's almost ten and I just had the most lovely sleep in, it was great - despite the noises of the people renovating across the road.  I've also just had my first course of breakfast (yoghurt, honey and muesli) and will soon be moving on to my second (juice, coffee and organic sourdough bread with CWA raspberry jam).  I'm a big fan of breakfast.

Yesterday was the first of June - the first day of winter, after the warmest May in 124 years.  It was wonderfully cold.  There was snow on the mountain.  I layered up with woolen thermals, wound my scarf around my neck,  snuggled into m;y down vest and dug out my beanie.  What better way to celebrate the new season than at Rectango, with live ( Read more... )
