as for what to do, (apart from my bias for Japan, who btw do have "international schools" where english is spoken but not sure if that extends to Universities too) I think spending a summer digging in Italy would be fun!

First things first, don't be a freelance illustrator. Starving ain't fun. D:

TOASTY MCTOASTER'S SUGGESTIONS THAT SOUND SUSPICIOUSLY LIKE ADVERTISEMENTS:

1. If you drop everything and go to Japan, the main and most very obvious thing is that: YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN. I don't know if you already have connections there, but you'll have to struggle with adapting to Japan and its culture and with the language itself, of course. Not to mention racist pricks and getting lost often. BUT, since it's Japan, it's most likely gonna be awesome. Just remember, you'll have to be- *breaks out into high soprano singing voice* AN ~*INDEPENDENT WOMAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN-*~2. Master's program for art restoration? Just think about this: Is it worth it go to more school for that program? Can you handle moar school when you've just graduated from it? Is it that worth it? Maybe you should check out that program more or talk to people who've been
