I am just so darned happy for you and Jarrad :) ::lots of love::
Can't wait to see you. Please e-mail me if you need any more help with Ellensburg wedding details if you're still having it here. My friend Dale officiates weddings at People's Pond all the time. It's very doable!
Yes! We're still planning the August shindig to be in E-ville. We're making it a BYOP (Bring Your Own Picnic) reception to cut down on the cost of having two weddings. We're going to see if CWU will back off on their catering push since we're not having it catered. Having it there would make it more private, we're thinking. Not so many wedding crashers, maybe? :/ And we wouldn't hafta worry about music being "too loud" or moving people over.
Eee! I'm so excited! :D Just need to come up with some penny-pinching ideas for flowers and such, and we're good! :D
Wedding crashers aren't a problem at People's Pond - they put signs up and such for people to know that there is a wedding and closed to the public. I've never seen it become an issue.
But ultimately it's all about whatever is cheaper!
Where at CWU? Japanese garden? By the Ganges somewhere?
Really? Another concern was, would the park packed on a Saturday in August?
Yeah. Need to send CWU an email and see what they say.
I was thinking of just across the Ganges from the L&L. Although, depending on the size of the group, just beside the library and L&L could be pretty shady.
This was a great post! I'm so glad that, even with the crazy, it sounds like the wedding was fantastic <3 Hopefully my internet at home will last long enough for me to peruse your pics! Omedetouuuuuu *hugs*
