I got to spend the day with my dad, something that doesn't happen too often, despite our living within a 10 mile radius of each other. We got up early and drove down to his old stomping grounds, a state park near where he graduated from high school

I miss east coast forests -- so green and dense!

I do love the east coast forests, but the West is so gorgeous too. They both have their own distinctive grandeur, I suppose^_^
