*whew* My week is fairly stuffed with schoolwork alone, not to mention any fic-work I'm trying to get done on the side... Next week, besides trying to get up on other schoolwork while I can, I have a ten-page research paper I need to look into (top of my list: what the topic is), so, for practical purposes, how much I will exist in the coming days

You're the first person I've seen who's interpreted that 'boyfriend' comment of Martha's to mean the Doctor. Though, of course, I've just realised that you haven't seen all the way through S3. Without spoiling too much, she meets someone in the final episode and there are some heavy hints that he could be an important part of her future. So no need to worry there.

I thought TLE was an incredibly weak episode, not least because it felt like a cheap rip-off of Impossible Planet/Satan Pit. I'd already started to go off Martha by that point, despite initially liking her, so a weak and quite boring episode didn't help.
