What are your feelings about gnomes and goblins?

I think we may have hunted them to near extinction...

Seriously, though, all the various mythological critters like those--the various faeries and whatnot--are all connected in to how people justify occurrences.

Could there be odd tiny little things that once roamed the countryside? Perhaps.

But even if there weren't ever anything like that, we'd create them in our minds... and then some people would start seeing them.

We're such suggestible and creative creatures.
