This is what you do. Install the disc that it came with. The ipod installer and even the itunes installer on the disc, because you might not have the latest.
Then you have to connect your shuffle into a USB port (part of the shuffle comes off, revealing the USB port). I had a problem with this because mine wouldn't fit into my port, but I found another port. Yay!
Then it should come up on your itunes, and you have to pull songs from your Library (it's on the sidebar) into your Ipod library (also on the side bar of itunes). If you're trying to put some wma's on there, it won't work. All of them have to be mp3's, as far as I know. Unless it's different for windows.
Then it'll scan in the songs, and bam, you have a music filled ipod. But sometimes it might automatically fill it, and you can only hold like 126 songs, so that might be the problem.
