anticlimax

i guess there's an element of anticlimax to cooking, especially when you've been doing it all day. it's kind of a shame that something that can take hours and hours to put together only lasts an hour or so, and usually ends up with everyone feeling kind of sick ( Read more... )

Well then! Let's remedy that. You should start looking into doing small, fun things for yourself. Plan at least one small thing a month. Perhaps a trip down to pikes place market to just look around. Maybe a lite camping trip. Look up local thrift and antique shops.

As for cooking, to say your meals are anticlimactic is soooo not true. Sure, the amount of preperation time exceeds the time to eat it and it might not seem at first to be an equvilent exchange, but trust me. As someone who actually has had your food I can taste the effort you've put into it. You actually made me LIKE meat off the bone. I've never tasted it like that before. It was much appreciated.

awww, sweetie! i really appreciate your comments about my cooking. it cheers me up every time <3 i guess it feels more anticlimactic to me because i stress so hard about doing everything right so it always feels like a ton of effort. basically i'm still not used to cooking for big groups of people so when i cook for myself it's easy no matter how complex the dish is but when i'm cooking for more than four i get so nervous.
