Here We Go Again

Last year we had the Waldo Canyon Fire. For three days firefighters were able to keep the fire on forest land, and then on a Tuesday all hell broke loose. In a single night 346 homes burned to the ground. One of my good friends had to evacuate and she had next to no warning. Thankfully, she had a home to go back to. I really wish the plot MacGuffin of the The Avengers (1998) could possibly be real, micro-weather. Basically I'd love to bottle up all the damn rain we get with a hurricane and send it to places suffering from a drought. *Sigh*

Thanks! The weather is finally starting to behave a little and we've even had a few sprinkles. Not enough to put out the fire, but the increased moisture in the air definitely helps. I just hope we don't get a large thunderstorm. The lightning and erratic winds will only make things worse.
The local media has been pretty good about mixing the fire updates with uplifting stories from the victims and the victims of last year's fire. Which is nice because it gives you a feeling of hope. And hope is very much needed for some of these poor people.
