I've finally broken into the home stretch on this damn Pudge fic (2006 and beyond! 50K words and beyond!). The new goal (sigh) is to have it done by-- preferably before-- Spring Training. Since getting it done before the new year worked out so well and all.

I love your Watson voice, the Hogwarts AU is so utterly note-perfect as to make me wish it encompassed seven books and an ill-advised epilogue, and most of all it's just great to see your prose again. You're so good.

Watson voice is so much fun. Probably the only thing in the world that I enjoy writing in the first person!

The Pudge thing is just kind of unbelievable at this point. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN TO ME, I SWORE I'D NEVER DO THIS AGAIN, etc etc. :P

I love the Holmes/Coward one, with Holmes's snarky inner monologue and eternal practicality (hey, you gotta take the opportunities when they show up!), and Coward thinking he's winning something. Not dead! Just between Life, and This Fucking Fic, I haven't had much to post lately. :P

I had a hard time imagining that Coward would really get one over on Holmes in that scene, so... well, write it to make it clear that if anyone's doing any putting on, it's Holmes. Or something. It made sense somewhere in there, honest.

Also. Amazing Holmes stuff, you never fail to disappoint. I mean, I'd been meaning to get around to reading the books eventually, and though I had been excited for the movie (Robert Downey Junior! Jude Law!), it... disappointed me greatly. So, uh, books, but I'll pretend that RDJ and Jude Law are still Holmes and Watson. Heheh... >_>

So yeah! Anticipation! Something to look forward to for good summer break reading material! I am excite!

Why, how long is NaNo supposed to be? But let's be real, this is taking me waaaay longer than a month. :P

NaNo's 50k. I tried doing it this year and I made it to like 5,000-something words and I was like, "Yep I'm done." I simply can't write massive amounts; even my chapter fics are like, combined total of 10,000 words. X3;;

Ha, well, this will be my only 50K+ fic, so it's clearly not my norm either! I like to think that 2-3K is around my comfort zone, but apparently all I can write lately is long ass fic. Grumble.
