Ok so here just a few pictures from the airshow that I was Allied Commander of. I was a Major for the weekend, so I got a lot of salutes and lot of Sir this and Sir that...it was quite awesome :-)
*shuffles feet, looks at ground* I had no idea there were camp areas. We would have if we had known :) Alex (6) has been asking all kinds of questions about WWII since. He's a bit young to break out the BoB disks, but I'm glad he found the whole thing interesting.
Thanks again for your time and effort. It looked GREAT!
I think we meet at the show. I think you typed up your groups contact info for me on the typewriter at your encampment. I asked if you'd meet Don Burgett and you told me about the 101st lunches.
We've corresponded through LJ before and I *almost* asked at the event if you were "American Soldier" on LJ.
It was after the 10 A.M. battle on Sunday. I think around 11 or 11:30. I asked for info on joining the unit and you chased a little kid off of the typewriter and typed me out the info. No biggie if you don't remember me. Like I said, we've corresponded here before and I almost asked if you were "American Soldier" here.
