The river level has plummeted, meaning that climbing at the ledges is now a feasible option, being if I had someone to go climbing with. Seems like only yesterday I detested climbing, but now I can't get enough of it. Something about being able to scale a rock face that seems both illogical or incomprehensible to climb makes me giddy. I'm partially hydrophobic. So working Water Carnival three weeks in a row is starting to piss me off. When I was in basic, the whole "water boarding" deal broke out, so they decided it would be best to prove to us that water boarding isn't that bad... and I was one of the test subjects. 2 oval carabiners.
1 D aluminum carabiner.
1 belay device.
1 harness.
66' or so of webbing.
Just need some rope and somebody else with a harness and I'll climb the shit outta Grand Ledge. -
