How ghastly. We´ll send our lawyer over at once. In the meantime... well, sit tight, I suppose!

Thanks for the word of encouragement. I suppose I do have time to write that article about the American embassy.

You got a job at the Free Spirit?! Are you mad? The Death Eaters have already killed their coffee girl! Do you want to be next?

Being confined to one's room is rather inconvenient. I'm sure you'll be out in no time, though. Alas.

Yes, I did. Thanks for your words of encouragement, Mr. Scamander!

I'll say it's inconvenient. Ever been locked in your room? It's agony!

Um, yes. About that job. Don't you think it could be a bit... er... unsafe? On occasion?

No, I can't say I have. I was, however, trapped in a cage with a large Bengal tiger once in a Muggle zoo. Highly unpleasant; the only good thing about the situation was the tiger.

Yes, it's looking decidely unsafe, being held prisoner indefinitely. Of course, there are plenty of dangers to journalists, but we journalists have to deal with those dangers, as part of our duty to the public. Don't worry, my wand's at my side, and I'm going to buy a gun when I go back to the States for vacation.

You're supposed to be working for the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and you're endorsing unlawful confinement?

I'm not currently working for anyone, if you haven't noticed, but it isn't unlawful if he's your family. You'd have no idea what the Blacks get away with under that rule.

That's awful! And so very typical of this society.

Still stuck behind closed doors, Miss Douglas? It does seem that the Free Spirit is as efficient as the Ministry is at times.

I really should send your brother a thank-you note, Miss Douglas.
