*He couldn't quite remember the name of it, but he knew it was important in terms of baseball. The Rangers and the Yankees- And he knew New York would come down for the game. But he hadn't heard from the other at all. Of course, he wouldn't have blamed him if New York was purposefully avoiding him, because of what had happened the last time he was there.*
*He sighed. He almost felt uncomfortable thinking about it. He did want to know though, if he should keep his distance. So, he went to the room he was staying in in Arlington's home (his city who was quite excited about the game tomorrow), took out his cell phone, found the other's number... Reconsidered a few times, and then finally hit send.*
*He still reconsidered while he listened to it ring.*
[New York had closed his eyes - not to sleep, but rather to just take in everything - when he heard the tune of Sinatra echoing in the room. He sat up, reaching to grab his phone from his pocket. Once he took it out and saw that it was Texas calling him, he paused for a second, wondering if he should answer.
In the end, his desire to at least talk to the other overrode everything else - his thoughts about the last time he was down, as well as the excitement of the game tomorrow - and he opened his phone, holding it to his ear.]
*New York had answered. That was a good sign, right?*
Howdy, Darlin'. I...just wanted to check up on ya, since there's the game tomorrow an' all... I didn't know if you were comin' down or not, or if I'd see ya at the game...
