Did you have a pattern for that bag or did you make it up?? I've been wanting to make a bag for awhile (I'm jealous ~ the girls in my new knitting group are always sewing [fabric] purses!] but I am not sewing-savvy enough to figure it out...
I definitely do have a sewing machine, but don't worry about looking for the pattern number... Honestly, I don't understand how to read patterns. I work better from other instructions. Thanks, though!!
Well, it's not that hard...I've always been intimidated by them too and didn't start using them until recently. If you do want to try, it's Simplicty 7161. It's a Sewing for Dummies pattern too, so there are more detailed instructions. What I do (for patterns that I know I'm going to use again) isn't really proper procedure, but I cut out the pattern, then trace it onto a posterboard and cut that out...set it onto the fabric, trace with chalk and cut that out. It's a bit easier than pinning the pattern to the fabric. Simplicity has a lot of different Sewing for Dummies patterns so you can try different things if you're up to it. And I think they're generally 50% off at wal-mart.

Simplicity's website isn't working at the moment, or I'd give you the pattern number. Remind me if you're interested and I'll go look for it.
