My father was raking leaves near where we buried Jakey, and he comes across a Doggie Biscuit.

We NEVER EVER gave Jake any biscuits.We suspect some EVIL person poisoned our poor dog. So went to the police station and asked if there was anything that we could do. They suggested that we take dog biscuit to a lab and get it tested

Sounds to me like someone could have realized that y'all were out of town and planned to rob your house. That's what happened to our Ace a few years ago. He was our 120lb rottie. We were out of town and someone poisoned him so that they could break in. However, they under-estimated how much poison it would take to kill him right away. He went into convulsions after we got home and died later that night.
