Well, the thought part is that those are meringue based and it's hard for it to stay 'puffy' when you add powdered almonds. I don't know, maybe what I thought was a recepie for macarons was a lie and in reality it's very hard?

My friends are crazy about macarons. They all had a bunch last time we went out together and wanted me to try one but I'm not very good with sweet things so I passed. ;) They do sound rather nice though ... theoretically. *L*

Yes~! I'm a huge fan of LaDurée~! ...and good macaron. It's trendy in Toronto now so I find that very few can do a good job making it. Also, did you know that President's Choice has their box of macaron?? I bought it last week at the Loblaws in one of the freezer sections out of curiosity!

I've even bought 2 of their books: "Sucré" and "Ladurée"!

The PC macaron's fillings were pretty tasty: raspberry was jammy, vanilla was like pudding, chocolatey chocolate and a creamy coffee. The outer shell was almost a non-factor in flavour and in texture because, by the time you thaw it, it crumbles in your mouth quickly. If you leave it out for even longer (i.e 30 after it's defrosted) the macaron will start crumbling apart in your fingers as you pick it up.

hmmm i think i'll stick to store made macaron, the textures sound kinda strange xD!

I've never had a macaron, but I'm pretty curious, ngl. They're usually all over stock images, and they look like they wouldn't taste good because almost all pretty things don't taste as impressive as they look, no joke. 8|

Hopefully I'll be able to try it someday! I trust your sense of taste, heh.
