*grumble*
Had a one to one meeting with my manager today, we discusses the impending restructure (another one).
Since the team I’m in has been SOooo efficient, were not just going to be covering commercial credit for the North of England, but for the whole damn UK.
Apparently were more efficient than Birmingham or London Credit, therefore all SME's (Small-Medium enterprises with lending up to £500k) will be all ours.
Due to be transferred in March.
A team of 8 people who were spilt up into 3 main areas, North East (3), Manchester(2), North West & Wales(3).
NOW Me, myself and I are in charge of the WHOLE of the North East.
Great, my work load trebles, and not a penny extra in pay (except whatever my annual pay rise is, poss 3/4%).
Barstards, now I can't help out the higher range (lending up to £6m), which means the likelihood of a promotion slips away into the increasing workload before me.....
What makes it worse is I was fekkin busy all day today, being pestered by loads of bank managers who need help with making sure they comply with government regulations, correct SIC codes (standard industrial identification) there are millions of the bastards, and I’m supposed to find the code with the closest match to a company specialising in building sensory rooms (toys AND lighting) for individuals with learning difficulties....gimme a break.
Faffing round with the Beurocracy of transferring companies to recoveries is just a pain.
STOP BLOODY RINGING ME!
Only managed to get 6 lending applications done, I’m expected to do 20 post restructure and monitor companies as they flag up on my Early warning system (companies making losses, going overdrawn, not giving us their accounts on time, loans going into default, etc, etc) to make sure the bank managers deal with it before they really go wonky and end up in recoveries.
*sulks* I know its more responsibility, and I know it'll sound good to say '"I’m in charge of the North East me!", Pfft, if this geographical area goes down the toilet....you know why! (no quips please!)
Sod it, I’ll give it a try, if it doesn't work (hmmmm) I'll sod off to Barclays!
Anyway, Rant over, Must focus on HOLIDAY!!!!!!! Off to Tunisia in May for TWO WEEKS! :D
Gonna ride Camels, Parachuting,BANNANA BOATS!, Diving (need to get a PCT (?) first), see the oasis', haggle in the markets!
