Book Review #3

House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski.

I finished this a few days ago and am still digesting it.  What started out as a madcap twist on Stephen King's style ended up being a more tender psychological portrait.  Well, that's how I read it anyway.  If for no other reason, this book is fun to read because of the unique typography and codes in the text.  ( Read more... )

see what i meant about it being more about the process of reading than about what you get from it? what a weird book.

by the way, my grandparents gave me a ton of books because they're moving out of their apartment but they're all formula crime novels... so now i have a summer reading list that's going to murder my brain.
