I'm preparing myself for a very painful experience which i've been avoiding for the past month: taking my guinea pig Ziggy to the vet to be put to sleep. I got him back in 2001 when he was only a few months old. Now that he's over 7 years old, his body has slowly been degenerating and making it harder for him to move. The only thing that is keeping

Awww, I'm so sorry to hear this Jess! Letting go of a pet is one of the hardest things :( *big hug* I'll never forget Ziggy and that one clubbing night where we were all drunk at Deb's house with him!

Aww thanks Lulu =) He ended up not making it through the night, but at least i was there with him during his last 12 hours. I fell asleep for a few hours and when i woke up he was gone. In a way i'm kinda glad i didn't have to hand him over to the vet to be euthanized, at least he was at home with his mommy all night. Thanks for bringing up that memory of him at Deb's place, i had totally forgotten about it. He was a great piggy =)
