Our computer mysteriously combusted the other day.  It took an afternoon's worth of Nathanael's homework, a crap-ton of our music, pictures, and playlists.  I'm not sure if that--or how much--might be safe on the eternal hard drive, and it's all very sucktacular.  I had saved my writing and edits on a thumb drive the night before so at least there' ( Read more... )

The second one hurts just as much as the first one.

I am having...weird?...reaction to that rejection letter.  While I did indeed immediately send off two other proposals the moment I got it, every moment after that has made me feel more anxious and self-doubting, like I am completely deluding myself.  I guess--even though I expected the rejection--it was a bigger blow to my confidence than I could ( Read more... )

My family members came and went and I made it without killing anyone.  They left around 8 this morning and by 9 I had almost every sign of my topsy-turvey world set aright.
