I didn't want to ask because I know some people don't like to talk about their religious rituals and whatnot, but it's still on my mind after a few days, so I'm going to bite the bullet and ask. If you're not comfortable answering, feel free to say so. :)

How do you do a shamanic journey to get information like that?

Sounds cool. I've tried it once before a long time ago and didn't know if it was the same thing you were referring to or not. When I did it, I went down into a hole in the ground and met a stag. Today, I tried it again, but without a drum beat. I met three animals, a wolf, deer, and bear. I thought I was making it up, but I couldn't seem to snap out of it. Then I traveled back to where I had walked in, and the second I opened the door to walk back into "my world," my eyes just snapped open. It was kind of freaky, but cool too. It's neat to find out that's what you meant by a shamanic journey. I've only done it twice in my life and it's been enlightening each time.

I'll have to try it with the drumbeat and see what happens.

Yeah, that pretty much is what a journey is like. Though I find I can snap out of it at any time. :)
