Lullaby: Chapter 9

Alright here is chapter 9 for lullaby, wonder if you can predict the plot twist I through in there XD

After receiving her message from Tama, Noriko couldn’t help but want to go out. She stepped out onto her balcony and let her wings come out, stretching them before taking off into the sky. She figured she could catch up to Nino and tell him she didn’t want him around her for a little bit while she planned to get close to Tama. She sniffed the air as her tail swished, feeling out for where Nino disappeared. When she caught his scent she quickly took off in his direction until she felt his presence beneath her. When she looked down she had to stop herself from flying down and kicking Nino’s ass.

Below her, Nino was walking with Akira and Noriko knew he was taking her back to his place. She had to stop him from taking her to his place and so she flew down some distance away from them before pulling out her cellphone. She frantically searched the new number she put into her contacts and dialed. A familiar voice answered her call.

“Noriko what’s wrong? It’s kinda late…” he asked her.

“Tell that Fujigaya guy that he needs to get his butt up and help Akira! She’s in trouble, she’s walking with this shady looking guy and I think he needs to be the one to save her because I don’t think I can take this guy on. Please Tamamori!” Noriko pleaded as she feared what Nino might do to her friend.

“Leave it to me Noriko, give me the address and I’ll make sure Akira is safe,” Tama promised her with confidence.

Noriko swallowed the lump in her throat as she felt touched hearing Tama say that to her. After giving him the street the two were on Tama hung up and ran to find Taisuke, quickly informing him of the situation before the two took off in the car to find Akira. Noriko trailed after Nino and Akira, staying back still and wishing she could hear what they were saying to each other. Noriko’s blood boiled seeing Nino’s arm around her friend’s shoulders as if he was a nice and comforting guy, but then again she wondered if Akira had fallen under Nino’s spell.

Once close by Taisuke sprinted from the car in search of Akira and the man she was with. He turned onto a street and saw their backs as they walked down the dark and empty street closely together. Taisuke yelled out Akira’s name causing the couple to turn around and see the furious Taisuke walking towards them.

“Get away from him! What are you doing going with some stranger?!” Taisuke scolded her as he got closer.

“Don’t come any closer! I don’t want to see you anymore and this is none of your business!” Akira snapped at him, causing Taisuke to stop in his tracks. “I’ve been rejected and I just wanted to be comforted by a good looking guy, so take the cue and leave me alone.”

“I was rejected but you don’t see me looking to some other woman to comfort me! Open your eyes and realize what you’re doing!” Taisuke retorted back.

“I don’t know exactly what’s happened between you two, but this girl has the right to do whatever she wants even if it means following me back to my place,” Nino interjected coldly before smiling and adding, “But fear not, I was just being a gentleman and escorting this lady home. My car is still at my apartment and I’d rather drive than walk her home.”

Taisuke wasn’t quite sure but this other man gave him a bad feeling as though his body saw this man as his natural enemy. Their eyes were locked on each other as they stood firm in front of the other over their female in question. Finally Akira got tired of feeling like the prized female in mating season and broke away from Nino.

“I’m sorry Ninomiya-san but I think it would be best if I go home with my friend. I’ll give you a call if I need to talk again like you suggested. Thanks for your kindness,” Akira apologized before smiling at him and reluctantly making her way towards Taisuke’s side.

Nino had to fight back his urge to reach out to her, his desire compelling him to grab her and drag her back to his place to have his way with her, but he knew it would only screw up his plans if he wavered now. So, against his wants, he let her leave him with the other man who he knew was another siren like Akira. Once the couple disappeared together he couldn’t help but let out a hysterical laugh as he held his sides.

“That male wasn’t sure why his body acted the way it did, but I know that friction between us is something long embedded in our DNA. Wanting to protect his female from the scary unknown beast that is me…ha! Too amusing, when I see the look on his face as I take her from him,” he paused to lick his lips as he swished his tail, “it’s pure ecstasy just thinking about it. Oh how I wish that day comes soon…”

Noriko observed from above at a safe distance but she could see the look on his face and knew her friends were in real danger. She watched him take off into the sky as she knew he was probably still excited and needed to let it out on a gullible victim. She looked below and made sure Akira was safely in Taisuke’s car before making her exit back to her own place.

Meanwhile Akira sat quietly in the passenger seat as Taisuke drove on without saying a word. She glanced over his way to see if he was still angry at her, but he showed no emotion as he drove on. The atmosphere between them was awkward and thick with uneasiness as she fumbled with something to say to him. When she finally made up her mind she opened her mouth to explain to Taisuke exactly what she felt he needed to hear.

“There was a human man I really liked back at my work and I really clung to my feelings for him. I didn’t realize that what I was really trying to cling to was my old life before I found out I was a siren…I rejected you because I still, in my heart, couldn’t accept the siren I was and wanted to reject anything siren about me. But now I know it was useless to cling to such things, in the end I was hurt and now I know that I really hurt you too and I’m sorry…I’m not going to run away anymore from what I really am and accept the world that I was really meant to be in…with you and everyone else,” Akira admitted to him as she looked down into lap at her clasped hands.

Suddenly the car came to a stop and she felt her body lurch forward before she looked around frantically. The car was stopped outside of Taisuke’s house and Akira turned to face him to question why he hadn’t taken her back to the siren mansion, but she didn’t have a chance before her lips were attacked. Swiftly Taisuke had reached over, cupping one side of Akira’s face before pressing his lips to hers. Her eyes dilated as she felt a wave of electricity run through every nerve of her body.

When he finally pulled his lips away Akira felt his soft cool breath against her parted lips, “…Akira…you don’t know how much I want you right now…even if I fulfilled my first mating rights with you, I just-”

This time he was cut off by her lips as she sought another electrifying kiss. She reached for his head, grabbing some of his hair in her hands as she pulled him closer, feeling his own hands grabbing the back of her head. It was like the wall between them had come crashing down, sweeping them up and drowning them in a suffocating desire. After thoroughly exploring each other’s mouths they finally parted and looked into each other’s dark eyes. Without a word the two exited the car and headed inside, sneaking quickly to Taisuke’s room.

“I don’t care about first mating rights or anything, I just want you Taisuke,” Akira whispered to him as they stood behind his closed door.

“Good because I want to do it more than once with you,” he whispered into her ear seductively before pressing his body against hers.

He trapped her body against the door as he grabbed her face and kissed her passionately. Sucking, searching, sliding tongues, and wandering hands moved around each of their bodies. When Akira could feel their lower halves grinding against another she figured it was about time they finished teasing one another and got down to business. She pushed him away, biting her lip at him as she directed him to his bed. Taisuke fell back on his bed and watched as Akira crawled on top of him, her hair falling just perfectly in her face to make her look seductive and mysterious.

“You’re so beautiful Akira,” Taisuke breathed out as she came closer and kissed him.

When she pulled away she sat up and shed herself of her shirt. She shivered when she felt him run his hands up her waist, his cool hands touching her warm bare skin. Then the two of them rolled around, stripping each other of their clothes till there was nothing between them. Taisuke kissed up and down Akira’s body, leaving his marks on her skin, wanting to leave his mark so no one dared to touch her. From her parted lips, moans and pants escaped occasionally as the pains of the marks mixed in with the pleasure of it all.

“I want you to be all mine, I won’t let anyone else have you,” he whispered dangerously low to her before going south.

It was at the point that she wanted to respond back to tell him that she was his for the moment, but she couldn’t between her cries of pleasure. It had been some time since she last felt their bodies so connected and, unlike last time, it felt as though their bodies and their souls were one. It felt as though their entire bodies were being healed as well as their hearts as they drowned in the ecstasy of each other’s presence. When the heat finally died down and the two of them finally came down from their highs, the two of them cuddled closely under the covers.

“Akira, now that you’re going to give it your all for the siren world, will you be conforming to the way sirens handle things?” Taisuke asked her as he took her hand in his.

“It’ll take me some more time but I think I’ll be able to adjust eventually,” she answered as she closed her eyes and nestled closer to Taisuke.

“Then make me your official mate. We can get married and have little siren babies and you’ll never have to worry about Mizumi pressuring you to find a suitable mate among the many siren men, I’ll always protect you and make sure no one takes advantage of you,” Taisuke rambled on to her before she silenced him with a kiss.

“You know, that’s a strange way to propose to a girl…guess it comes with such a strange and not normal world,” she paused to kiss him again before chuckling against his lips, “And I think it would be great if you were my one and only mate.”

This time Taisuke stole a sweet and loving kiss from Akira, his heart filled to the brim with joy over having her finally. “I’ll be the best mate, I’ll never do anything to hurt you!”

When they parted Akira couldn’t help but smile warmly at Taisuke, feeling his protective around her body. Within minutes the two of them slipped into a peaceful slumber, arms and limbs entwined together.

Sho blinked several times at the pages in front of him, his eyes growing tired from reading late into the night. He figured Akira would be back soon enough and left Mizumi’s side to return to reading old records in search of more information on Shiemi’s and Akira’s disease. He didn’t want to give up on them and refused to believe that there was truly no cure for it. Suddenly Sho sat up when his eye scanned something that looked very hopeful. The gears in his mind ran quickly as it made connections and started to see a light in the darkness. But Sho’s eyes lids started to grow heavy and his head dropped to the table as he fell asleep.

“So you found something beneficial for my sister and her daughter? I’m sorry Sho, I know you have feelings for my sister, but I can’t allow you to use this information to save her. She deserves to slowly die and repent for her sins in that cage I made for her…and maybe I can also get rid of Fujigaya’s son with this as well. So long as Akira keeps hating and keeping Taisuke at a distance then he’ll die as well and maybe Fujigaya-san will mourn so much over her lost son that she’ll lose her baby from all the stress,” Mizumi coldly put it before putting a hand on her belly, “I won’t allow anyone to threaten my family. There will be no confrontations for my daughter to face once she’s born, I’ll make sure to that.”

Mizumi ran her hand through Sho’s hair before grabbing the book and tearing the page from it. She scrunched her face at the information on the page, feeling disgusted thinking of her half-sister and Akira and hoping they enjoyed what was left of their painful lives. She stuffed the page into her pocket before walking off, knowing her siren song would wear off of Sho soon enough. Her eyes glowed violently blue and she paused to place a worried hand upon her stomach. Her breathing had increased as she tried to keep control of her powers, praying that the child stayed safe until she was able to finally give birth.
