...I just dreamt that I was building a pretty little house on the back hill, and suddenly all members of my family (who weren't my family at all, and it was an Ireland van turned Mark III, with ten seats and nine filled but somehow with three empty, god math is screwed up in my dreams) had to jump into this van because our Irish/Massachusetts land ( Read more... )

You should write more of these sorts of dreams down. People make an impact as writers while writing about far less...amusing material.

Most of my dreams are epic and far less amusing, so they go into my top-secret oneirography journal. :)

Oneirography journal, is it? How exciting, not to mention useful. Why this is precisely currently eludes me, but I do remember that keeping track is good for you.

Wonder if Sabi is going to try and stab me in my sleep now.

A lot of my dreams are absurdly and tragically beautiful; I don't want to forget their images, so I transcribe and occasionally review them. Someday, when I'm a better Jungian, the oneirography will tell me much more about myself than this (conscious and mostly trivial) journal does.

(Sabi, don't stab Brady. He's playing nice and across the country. x.o;)

I hope it does soon!

And by the way, I'm also extremely interested in the Jungian way of analyzing dreams. Well, just psychology in general. You definitely need to take a psych class at Simon's Rock, I can see you really loving it.

Jung is wonderful. :) Have you read Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious?

I've taken psychology classes at other colleges, and while I like cognitive neuroscience and humanist psychology to no end, introductory classes tend to air on the behaviourist side of things, which I rather...dislike. So. I don't know. x.o
