“There’s something we’re missing,” muttered Tony, turning a full circle in the late Marine Sergeant’s living room.
“But what?” said McGee. “Everyone has the same story. Good Marine. No enemies. No real friends. No unusual finances. No nothing.”
Tony trailed a hand along the bookshelf - then straightened. “No camera.”
“Camera?”
“These are all photo albums. And on all the walls - those were taken with different cameras or at least different lenses. But we didn’t find a camera.”
“Not here or on the body,” said McGee, with growing realization. “So…”
Tony grinned. “The killer must have the camera. Let’s go, Probie.”
