The good news is, I got laid yesterday and I mean laid good.  Totally out of the blue I found myself being felt up and soon coaxed into the bedroom for some hot action on the floor.    Why the floor?  I dunno, hubby's been feeling creative lately.  Can't say as I mind, it's quite nice that he's taken an interest in directing the action.

The bad ( Read more... )

My husband's vascectomy changes our lives for the better.

Quick trip to the doc, then a bag of frozen peas on his groin for a couple days.

Then sweet freedom!!

That's the dream!

I don't know why he hasn't wanted to go before now, but when I brought it up again last month (we were going to the urologist anyway, seemed like a good time to get things rolling on the snip-snip) he said he was under too much job stress to think about doing it right now.

Hopefully someday the planets will all align...

That's precisely how child 3 and 4 came about to be. I couldn't use the pill either. Made me insane. After child 4 hubby got a vasectomy. In our case, he has had side effects and we almost wish that we hadn't gone that route. However, there are little pills for what ails him, and sex was never this good for either of us, ever.

I do worry about side effects... I never realized there could be any until I started looking into it. With our luck he'd have "lingering testicular pain" or some such other thing and never be interested in boinking me again.

I've had the Essure, just this week (in case you missed it). My doctor insisted that I be sterilized in order to have an ablation, which I desperately wanted. If you're SURE you don't want kids, ever, then get the Essure. I think it's a lot better than hormonal treatments.

I knew you had a procedure this week but I wasn't sure if it was the ablation or the Essure. I'm glad everything went well.

I looked into Essure before but I was a little worried because the info said it was made of/contained nickel and I am allergic to nickel-containing jewelry. Did the possibility of allergy come up when you talked to your doc?

No, not at all. According to the card I was given to carry in my wallet from now on, it is indeed a nickel titanium alloy with stainless steel. Might want to look harder at something else.
