Went rather well actually. I didn't handle every call perfect but, neither did I freak out. I was on hold for another department for two hours though. Wasn't too bad, I got into a conversation with the customer about pets (he hit the right button with that^_^). Two books in a row relating to death in some way, though they are both well written, has made me pensive. This, in turn, makes the day funky as I'm walking around painfully aware of my mortality. I think after I finish this book, instead of reading my book on the civil war, I think I'll find something that is lighter.

What carries more weight: mistakes of the past or warnings of the future?

One of the things I'm gaining from this job is a lack of faith in IT admins. Some of these guys who call in are making me think I could easily apply for an IT position. And I've managed to piss off two people already today! But the day's still young^_~
