It was more a necessity to be able to play the wii in the living room, but it got us working toward a cleaner and more organized kitchen and bedroom, too.
I want to do one of those big purges where I take everything out of the closet, put it in give away/throw away/keep piles and reduce the amount of clutter. If I don't do that at least every six months, I find that I become the worst pack rat. I make myself look at the piles of stuff sitting around and finding something to DO with all that stuff.

I've already done some purges, so I doubt there's really anymore for me to get rid of. We had a big garage sale last year, and I got rid of a ton of stuff just when I was packing the uhaul to get here. I've always been a pack rat, but Katrina made me a lot better about that, just the realization that you don't actually NEED things. KM probably has stuff she could give away, but that's not my call.

I haven't done it yet, but I read about the project management system where you only do the work for 15 minutes at a time. Then you stop. The idea, I think, is that you can do just about anything for 15 minutes.

and yeah, i think quick spurts can work. like if you do one thing at a time, like just clean off the table or empty the dishwasher. every little bit helps kind of mentality. only problem is that some of the tasks ahead are definitely multi-hour type things. and i get distracted enough with my ADD, i'm not sure how beneficial it will be to schedule in the distractions.
