I ... I don't even fucking KNOW how I am going to survive this. GAAAAAAAAH.

I think this is almost as bad (or as good, I guess) as when Ottawa was playing Buffalo in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final. I was probably more nervous then, but only by a hare's breadth of a margin ( Read more... )

Sudden death, so first team to score wins. If nobody scores at the end of twenty minutes, they go to a shootout.

LOL, I can imagine. I had a "Congrats on the Gold, Liz!" comment all ready to hit post and then suddenly it was tied. I, of course, haven't a clue what I'm watching, but I can appreciate the intensity of play at least.

Don't bite off the fingers, your IU audience will be looking for their regular updates!!

Enjoy the OT...hopefully with fingers intact!

You've got it exactly right regarding the intensity, ACK! That was a crazy, crazy game, and if there's one thing I've learned from thirteen years as a hockey fan, it's to never, NEVER believe it's over until the final buzzer sounds. Not even when there's just twenty-four seconds left!

And no, I didn't end up biting off my fingers ... but it was a close thing! ;D

Well, I wouldn't necessarily say that we were obviously better - the USA sure gave us a run for our money! - but we came out on top in the end, and that's what counts! :D
