Carrying drugs is indeed a way to ruin your future. Embarrassment aside, I think it might be wise just to not do that anymore. I feel kinda bad for your friend, though.

cops searched you before you were at the security check point?

Arizona has really harsh laws even with POT,it's insane that happened and you are ok.Was your friend arrested,obviously right?
You have good friends.With drugs it's every man for himself,they could have said it was all you and they didn't.So that's a blessing despite the shittiness of it.

My MSG or cmt about raving (bad memory) I guess is invalid because ^ was apparently the reason you were staying away.
So much happens though and that whole thing should be soon forgotten.
This girl has a warrent out for her arrest because she added an undercover cop that was in disguise of a raver to her myspace and the cop knew what she was doing.
It was kind of funny because she deserves it but HOW COULD YOU NOT KNOW that was a cop,everyone knew.

Moral of the story: shit happens
