September is Meta Month!
myaru and I were conspiring the other night. She lamented anon meme. I suggested that resisting the lure of the anon meme might be easier if we collectively decided to shun it. Like the magical peer pressure power of NaNo!
She took that metaphor and ran with it. One meta post every day for September!
I honestly think that is a pretty cool idea.
So. September is Meta Month! Every day,
- Do not look at the Anon Meme. Don't comment on it. Don't click on links to it. Don't post on it. Don't even look at it.
- Make a meta post. It can be small ("I think Greil had a dog growing up. A Labrador. He named it George.") or big ("Here are my thoughts on the culture of Daein circa the year 150"), flocked or public. But keep the wheels turning!
- Participation completely voluntary. However, participation makes you more awesome [citation needed].
