I've given my card to about 10 different people that I've met during my trip, and noone has gotten in touch yet. I got a card from one american that I shared a train with and ended up emailing him to meet up but it didn't work out

I went running the other day and said hi to everyone I passed. I had a pretty good return rate. I think people are nicer than you think.
